I extend this welcome to Masons and Non-Masons alike and I sincerely hope that you will find the following pages of interest and give you the opportunity to gain an insight into our ancient Institution and the various Masonic Orders operating in our Province of Cumberland and Westmorland.

Freemasonry offers Members an approach to life, which is based on thoughtfulness and care for those less fortunate than themselves, whether they be Masons or Non-Masons.

There is so much to commend Freemasonry, it is not a secret society, neither is it a religion.  It endeavours to show men the correct way to live and act, and to extend relief and charity to all.

John Hale
