WHERE'S THE JEWEL

Once upon a time, a Master wanted to test three Stewards to see who would be the better to progress to Inner Guard, so he made up a Logic problem.

He made three boxes of different colours and placed a Jewel of two Swords in Saltire in only one of them.

Each box had an inscription. Either 'none' or 'just one' of the inscriptions were true.

He then asked the Stewards, identify which box held the Jewel and to explain why.

The Jewel is not in this box

The Jewel is not in the blue box
