CUNNING LOGIC
One day the Master of a Lodge was approached by the two Wardens who both wanted to stand for election as the next Master Elect. The Master was very wise and did not want to divide the Lodge between two very good Brethren. He therefore gave the Wardens the choice of going before the Brethren for Ballot, or the first to solve a puzzle of his choosing would naturally be the next Master Elect. Both agreed to the latter - the puzzle is as follows:
Imagine you are in Room 1 with 3 switches.
In an adjacent room, Room 2, there are 3 bulbs (all are off at the moment), each bulb has it's own switch in Room 1.
It is impossible to see from Room 1 to Room 2 and vice versa.
How can you find out, which switch belongs to which bulb?
The only restriction is that you can only enter Room 2 once.
